President Reagan spends the day by the fire at Camp David.
* * *
Most of time spent in by the fire. Sat. did my radio show then a short hike & that was it. Sun. a freezing rain had sheathed everything in ice. In the P.M. we tried for a walk but all the roads were a sheet of ice so we walked around the yard a bit and then back to the fire. Mon. was rainy & foggy & we had to come home by car. All the trees at Camp D. looked like were made of glass—ice on every twig & limb. Uneventful drive—an hour & a half in all & we were at the W.H.
