Reading & homework—then at 5 P.M. downstairs for the 1st of this seasons “In Performance at the W.H.” for Public Broadcasting. Old friend Kitty Carlyle, Marvin Hamlisch, Sara Vaughan, “The Manhattan Transfer” (a quartet) George Merritt, & Priscilla Boskenville. Nancy did a chorus. It was a tribute to Geo. Gershwin.
