Rode every morning. They have cleared a trail out of the camp into the Nat. Forest past Bessie Darling’s old summer hotel (now a couple of stone walls & a chimney. She was murdered there in 1933. The trail adds much to the riding. Sunday looked like rain so just rode around C.D. Spent both afternoons doing homework & mail. Called Margaret Thatcher about sending a communications unit to help in the Sinai multiple nation force. She cant do it. Due to previous history, Eng. would stand to lose their trade with moderate Arab nations. Ran movies & 2 hr. tape of Sadat funeral. Our delegation with 3 x Presidents highly regarded by Egypt. The movies were both delightful comedies, “Paternity” & “The Great Divide.” Now we’re back in the W.H.
