Nancy off at near dawn for Monaco & the funeral. I left for N.J. at 1:30. It was a good afternoon—a fund raiser for Milicent Fenwick—cand. for Sen. Then a wonderful ceremony—the swearing in of about 200 new citizens. Very moving. A meeting with Eastern Repub. St. Chrmen. Things looking fairly good. Finally a great Italian American fiesta at the fairgrounds—again for M. Fenwick. It was very successful—warm, enthusiastic etc. Then Marine 1 & A.F.1 & the W.H.—It’s lonely here without Mommie.
