On May 9, 2024, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute’s Center on Civility and Democracy will host Governor Spencer Cox to discuss the genesis of his Disagree Better Initiative as Chairman of the National Governors Association. In this effort, Governors join forces to reduce partisan animosity and foster healthy debate.
Leveraging President Reagan’s legacy of bipartisanship, including his strong working relationship with Speaker of the House Tip O’Neill, RRPFI seeks to guide Americans in fostering productive and civil dialogues across divergent views. In a conversation with Fred Ryan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of RRPFI, Governor Cox will share the challenges and opportunities of this work and what lies ahead for the Initiative.
