Overview

Celebrate the power of civic knowledge at the inaugural the National Civics Bee® California State Finals, taking place on June 21 at 5:30 PM at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. This free event is dedicated to promoting civic engagement, fostering a dynamic workforce, and strengthening the foundation of an informed and active citizenry through a fun and dynamic competition, not just for the students but for all in attendance. Put your civics knowledge to the test against the best California has to offer and see for yourself, are you smarter than a middle schooler?

Hosted in partnership with leaders committed to our nation’s prosperity, the event aims to inspire pride and a deeper understanding of civic principles across California. The event will feature 10 of the most exceptional 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students from across California, showcasing their outstanding dedication to civic principles and knowledge. These young scholars exemplify the future of President Reagan’s call for an informed and responsible citizenry, rooted in their patriotism and passion for civic responsibility. These students serve as an inspiration to their peers and communities, and by celebrating their achievements, the National Civics Bee® underscores the critical importance of civics education and engagement in shaping a thriving society for years to come.
