Overview

“I join with my countrymen, including millions of Americans whose roots are in Poland, in praying for an early return to a path of moderation and personal freedom in Poland.” – Ronald Reagan

Please join us on July 14 for a conversation with the Deputy Prime Minster of Poland.  He will be discussing why the Transatlantic partnership between Poland and America still matters, and on the legacy of Ronald Reagan and his impact on Poland.

Radek Sikorski has served as the Deputy Prime Minister since July 2025, alongside his position as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, which he has held since December 13, 2023. Previously, he was Minister of Defence (2005–2007), Minister of Foreign Affairs (2007–2014), and Speaker of the Sejm (2014–2015). In 2019–2023, he was a Member of the European Parliament, sitting on the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Security and Defence Subcommittee. He chaired the Delegation for relations with the United States.  As Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, he launched, together with Carl Bildt, the EU’s Eastern Partnership. He proposed and helped to establish the European Endowment for Democracy and the Solidarity Prize.

He was listed among the Top 100 Global Thinkers by the Foreign Policy magazine for “speaking the truth, even when it is not diplomatic”.
