Overview
In association with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute’s Center on Civility and Democracy, please join us on July 18 for an in-person conversation with award-winning documentarian Ken Burns to discuss his recently released new mini-series, The American Revolution. The on-stage conversation will also discuss the need to return to civility and democracy within our country. Tickets to the event are $85 per person and include a buffet dinner in the Reagan Library’s main courtyard following the program. Tickets must be purchased by July 11th to attend.
The American Revolution by Ken Burns is a six-part, twelve-hour series on America’s founding struggle, and presents the story of the men and women of the Revolutionary generation, their humanity in victory and defeat, and the crisis that they lived through. By weaving together accounts of American political leaders and their British counterparts with the perspectives of the so-called ordinary people who waged and witnessed war, The American Revolution will be an expansive, evenhanded look at the virtues and the contradictions in the fight for independence and the birth of the United States.
