California K-12 educators—elementary, middle, and high school teachers—who want to strengthen their civics instruction and grow their teaching practice. If you teach history, government, or social studies, this day was built for you.

Mike Williams, Professor of Political Science and International Relations

Professor Williams serves as Director of the Changemaker Hub and Co-Director of the Urgent Challenges Collective. He brings deep expertise in political science and international relations, offering educators fresh perspectives on how to engage students with the ideas that shape our democracy. 

Dr. Ruth Perez, Deputy Superintendent, Los Angeles County Office of Education

Dr. Perez leads civic and educational initiatives across one of the nation's largest county education systems. Her experience supporting teachers and students offers valuable insight into building strong, lasting civics instruction in California classrooms.
