Wes Patterson Joins the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute as New Chief Development Officer

Simi Valley, CA — Today the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute (RRPFI) announced that Wes Patterson has been appointed Chief Development Officer. Mr. Patterson will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships and setting and executing RRPFI’s philanthropic and revenue-generating strategy, thereby extending RRPFI’s long-term financial strength and ability to advance the legacy and principles of Ronald Reagan. 

“Wes will be a tremendous enterprise leader and asset to the Foundation and Institute,” said David Trulio, President and CEO of RRPFI.  “In addition to his deep appreciation of President Reagan’s accomplishments and values, Wes brings extensive experience as a trusted relationship builder and a data-driven strategist.  He will play a key role in taking the Foundation to unprecedented heights.”  

Mr. Patterson is a 22-year veteran of higher education and nonprofit fundraising. Immediately prior to his appointment at the Reagan Foundation and Institute, Mr. Patterson served in numerous positions at the University of Southern California for over a decade, most recently as Associate Vice President, University Advancement and Strategic Initiatives.  In that role, he launched and managed large-scale programs, helping to drive hundreds of millions of dollars in donations for the University. A native of Simi Valley, CA, since 1994, Mr. Patterson began his career in nonprofit leadership with the Boy Scouts of America.
