Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Hosts Wildfire Safety Day to Boost Emergency Readiness
SIMI VALLEY, CA. – The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute will host Wildfire Safety Day, a free, family-friendly event dedicated to education, preparedness, and community safety. The event, which will take place at the Reagan Library on Wednesday, June 25, will offer visitors the opportunity to learn about the importance of fire safety, especially at a time when wildfires and other emergencies are becoming increasingly common.
In partnership with the Ventura County Fire Department, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services, the Ventura County Regional Fire Safe Council, Simi Valley DSWV, Ventura County Animal Services, the Ventura County Human Services Agency, and the Red Cross, attendees will meet local firefighters and emergency responders and receive life-saving fire safety tips. With hands-on demonstrations, kids' activities, and a Wildfire Safety Passport challenge, this event equips families with the knowledge and tools to stay safe before, during, and after a fire.
