The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is the sole nonprofit organization created by President Reagan charged with continuing his legacy and sharing his principles - individual liberty, economic opportunity, freedom and democracy, peace through strength, and national pride. The Foundation is a non-partisan organization which sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, CA, the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Presidential Learning Center, The Air Force One Pavilion, the Reagan Leadership Center and the Reagan Institute, which carries out the Foundation’s mission in Washington, D.C. The Reagan Library houses over 55 million pages of Gubernatorial, Presidential and personal papers and over 60,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. Job Requirements/Salary/Benefits
The Reagan Library Museum Store is hiring enthusiastic part-time sales associates to work on site.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must be passionate about President Ronald Reagan’s legacy and principles.
Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
Must possess a retail “mentality,” and be able to drive the business through sales techniques.
Will be required to achieve and maintain a sales quota.
Must have excellent customer service skills, be courteous and possess a positive attitude to perpetuate the image and values of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum.
Prior retail experience is desired; basic math skills are required.
Occasional work required in the shipping & receiving department and participation in annual physical inventory required.
Physical demands include the ability to stand for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling and lifting product 5 to 30 pounds.
Part-time position to include 10-25 hours per week, weekends required.
Participation in annual events, including Presidents’ Day, 4th of July, the Reagan National Defense Forum and Reagan National Economic Forum.
Hourly wage is $16.50, plus the opportunity to earn a commission on everything you sell.
Benefits include Paid Time Off (PTO) based on hours accrued per pay period/years of service and the opportunity to participate in the retirement program.
