A meeting with Fla. campaign chairmen & supporters hosted by Tommy Thomas. Then to the docks where I presented a unit citation to the Coast Guard crew that has played such a part in our anti-drug cleanup there. Then helicoptered to A.F. base and addressed the S. Fla. Task Force. This is the citizens group plus local, state & Fed. agencies which has done such a job in curbing the influx of drugs & associated crimes. Saw an exhibit of confiscated guns, bales of marijuana, cocaine, & a stack of money that looked as if it could balance the budget. Now back at the W.H. waiting for Nancy who is at a luncheon. Gals always lunch til about 4 P.M.
