Radio Broadcast & then lunch for regional Repub. Chmn. to announce plan for Paul Laxalt to be Nat. Repub. General Chmn. We will then choose an N.R.C. chairman to serve under him & handle day to day admin. Idea very well received especially when I said the N.R.C. should be the principle ’84 campaign’s committee without having a separate presidential committee operating on it’s own.
