We helicoptered to Pt. Mugu. Nancy went to L.A. & I took A.F.1 to Las Vegas—an airport rally for Jim Santini—6,000 people in & outside a hangar—the usual mix of young people & adults & the same wild enthusiasm. Then back on the plane & on to L.A. A quick lunch & Nancy & I helicoptered to Anaheim to an outdoor amphitheatre 15,000 people & a rally for Ed Zschau—the last hurrah. Back to the hotel for overnight.
