Awoke early—on Wash. time. A beautiful sunshiny day and a beautiful horse back ride. Lunch (Dennis & Barney) with us. Then into work clothes. First chore cutting up a dying Oak tree that had gone down. Then up where we were pruning on our last visit and a couple of hours of pruning. Our usual pause at “Bide A Wee” for a soft drink then down to the house. Quiet evening & set our clocks back an hour & to bed.
A call from Walter Annenberg. He had seen the Video Tape of the “Reagan Days” which Lew Wasserman is putting on the market—all proceeds going to the “Library.” Walter said he was in tears for much of it.
