President Reagan addresses 20,000 people at Union-Endicott High School.
An uplifting day for me. First to Buffalo N.Y. for the dedication of an apt. bldg.—an example of pvt. & govt. cooperation. It is for the elderly & the handicapped. The Italian Am. society & the Catholic Diocese got together on it. I spoke to a sizeable rally then walked down a street through a crowd & finally addressed a lunch at a Catholic Jr. college. From there we flew to Endicott N.Y. for a rally of more than 20,000 people on the High School Athletic field. There were a few dissidents but they were almost invisible in that crowd. I’m amazed at the enthusiasm & the high percentage of young people at all these gatherings.
