Dick, Patti, Geoff, Jon & Ann arrived. We lunched in the Solarium—then it was off to New Orleans. We (Nancy & I) had to motor to Pentagon to Marine 1. Lawn is all torn up ready to be sodded. A.F.1—2 1⁄2 hrs. to New Orleans—& naval airbase. A motorcade for all of us to the regular convention center where I spoke to 9000 enthusiastic supporters of Geo. B. & our cause. Then back to or I should just say on to the Hotel. We had additions to the family, Mike, Colleen, Cameron & Ashley Marie plus Maureen & Dennis. To our suite for cocktails & dinner. Then to bed.
