Weather still bad so I finished the speech (for T.V. Mon. night). At noon 15 Dem. Congressmen (1 woman) came for a BarBQ & a pitch by me for our tax program. I think we did some good. Weather cleared some—the others got in some tennis. Left for W.H. about 5. Now here I am and it’s d--n lonesome. I did get a glimpse of Nancy on T.V. at the Polo match.
