Left for Camp D. at 10 A.M. with Charley & Mary Jane Wick. A partly cloudy day and one to polish off some homework. Sat. cloudy & a threat of showers but we managed to get in a ride before the skies opened. Sat. morning I contacted our F.B.I. & enlisted their aid in getting Uli Dericksons phone number. She is the T.W.A. Purser who was so heroic on the hijacked plane—literally saving at least one mans life who was being beaten. She stepped in between him & the hi-jacker & said “That’s enough.” News papers played up a story that she had made available names of passengers who might be Jewish & there were threats of demonstrations by at least one Jewish org. The charge was untrue and I phoned her to tell of what I had learned of her heroism & how proud we were of her. Sunday the day was beautiful & we managed to get in some pool time.
