Nancy left this A.M. for Phoenix. I wont see her until Wed. night—or is it Thurs. night—I’ll have to check. Anyway I still dont like this place without her. Met with Cardinal Krol who has returned from being with the Pope in Poland. He believes there may well be some easing. I believe also that Walesa may not be as much of a force as he once was. Our Marine 1 pilot & commandant of helicopter presidential squadron came by with family for picture. He has a 100% safety record. Leaves now to attend Naval College. Also met Marine Col. who joined us in mil. aides group. Issues lunch—tapings & workout in family theatre for tomorrow nites press conference.
