P.M. Lee of Singapore arrived. We had a fine meeting & a working lunch. I had met him in Singapore in 1971 & 1973. I admire him greatly. He is very intelligent & has done a great job for his city-state. He was most informative about the P.R.C. & Taiwan. I gave him a verbal message to take to our friends on Taiwan. He departed & so did we—for Camp David. A violent thunder & lightning storm in the night.
