Lunch with P.M. Mzali of Tunisia. He’s quite a guy and very perceptive about the middle east. He knows all the players. He believes Arafat is ready to agree that Israel should be recognized as having a right to exist. Then upstairs to write the speech for tonite’s T.V. broadcast. Got it finished about 5 P.M. Went on at 8 P.M. I hope it gets results.
