Went directly to the International Club at Georgetown U. to make a major foreign policy speech to the Center for Strategic & International Studies. Back at the E.O.B. met & congratulated the U.S.C. Womens Basketball team which had just won the N.C.A.A. national championship for the 2nd year in a row. Saw plans for the Convention Hall in Dallas—looks great. Then a luncheon with China experts for a general briefing on our China visit. A meeting with Nat. Conf. of Lt. Governors—one with Cap W. who has returned from his N.A.T.O. trip & completed Phone calls to our Latin Am. friends who helped with the financial rescue of Argentina.
