Routine morning—but had lunch at the Shoreham with the Nat. Space Club—a large group of citizens 1500 or so who have banded together to help promote space activities. I was presented with the Goddard Award for my own part in Space. Back at the Oval O. dropped by a farewell reception for Adm. Dan Murphy George Bushs Chief of Staff who is going out into pvt. life after 40 yrs. of govt. svc. He’s a good man.
Then off to Camp D. First time in a few weeks. Hoping for a Sat. ride but weather threatens.
