Addressed Okla. Legis. Again a great reception for cutting budget, keeping the tax cuts & maintaining defense budget. Decided to stop off in Ft. Wayne, Ind. where there is a disastrous flood. Joined some young people who as volunteers were piling sandbags on a dyke & then visited some of the flooded out people who were being sheltered at a Catholic Church. The flood is due to crest—over the top of the Dykes—Thurs. The spirit of the people is magnificent.
