President Reagan attends the National Governors Association conference to discuss issues concerning farmers.
This was the day for the annual meeting with Gov’s. We met in the East room. I made a short presentation then took some Q’s. There were no surprises—“What are [we] going to do for the farmers etc.”
In the afternoon I enjoyed going over to the E.O.B. to report to Peter Grace & some of his great team of C.E.O.’s who have been on the commission which gave us 2478 ideas for improving govt. We have & are implementing a great majority of them & studying the rest.
Had an interview with Germand & Witsover who are writing a book on the ’84 campaign. Some photos—Miss Teenage America & another nat. winner of a teenage contest. Very nice & lovely young ladies.
