fireside chats about the state of education in America.

WASHINGTON, DC The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute announced that

Washington, DC, and online, May 24 - 25, 2023.

NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd, the moderator of Meet the Press, will lead both
discussions. The fireside chats will focus on the governors’ dynamic perspectives on the state of
education in America and the challenges in the 21st century that are shaping the future for learners.

Education has been a major component of both governors’ agendas and careers. In his fiscal year

Commission of the States (ECS), a national, nonpartisan organization that supports state
policymakers across the country. As chair of ECS, Hutchinson leads the initiative to advance

making connections to career pathways.

The conversations will take place on May 25, beginning with Governor Hutchinson

will reflect on America’s resilience during the pandemic and assess the state of education since
President Ronald Reagan’s seminal “A Nation at Risk” report. RISE will convene current and former
Administration officials and industry leaders from across the education spectrum who will address
the health of the U.S. education system. The year’s summit will feature leaders such as:
