On Friday, March 26, 2010, The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation welcomed former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove for a lecture and book signing of his new book, Courage and Consequence (release date: March 9, 2010). In this highly anticipated memoir, Mr. Rove recounts his life in politics and service with his long-time friend President George W. Bush. Of his book, Karl Rove stated, “Courage and Consequence is a candid and behind-the-scenes view of some of history’s turbulent and momentous years. It tells how Bush got to the White House and what happened during his consequential presidency. It’s a frank account of what I witnessed and my often-controversial role.

Karl Rove served as Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush from 2000–2007 and Deputy Chief of Staff from 2004–2007. At the White House he oversaw the Offices of Strategic Initiatives, Political Affairs, Public Liaison, and Intergovernmental Affairs and was Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, coordinating the White House policy-making process.

Mr. Rove is a Fox News contributor, writes a weekly op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, is a Newsweek columnist, and is the author of Courage and Consequence.

Karl now serves on the Board of Trustees for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and the Texas State History Museum Foundation. He is also a member of the McDonald Observatory Board of Visitors and the Texas Philosophical Society.
