Overview
Just days before the 2026 Men’s FIFA World Cup final draw, please join the Ronald Reagan Center on Civility and Democracy and the Rose Bowl Institute for a trilateral conversation with dignitaries and athletes from the United States, Canada and Mexico to explore how competition can coexist with respect, and how co-hosting the World Cup can foster unity across borders.
The 2026 Men’s FIFA World Cup, the largest sporting event in history, is a profound opportunity to model regional cooperation, shared values, and global leadership. At a time when polarization and division are on the rise, sport remains a true common ground: a global language of passion, pride, and purpose. What happens on the field: fair play, teamwork, respect, accountability can and should influence what happens in our communities and democracies. Held just days ahead of Draw Day, when the entire soccer world will be focused on Washington D.C, this event utilizes the global spotlight so that while the draw will determine matchups, this conversation will define the values and tone with which we welcome the world.
