Overview

As part of the Reagan Library’s upcoming special exhibition, Cowboys: History & Hollywood, visitors will learn how cattle herding methods have advanced from dusty trails to helicopters and ATVs, culminating in a showstopping centerpiece: a Robinson R22 helicopter used to round up cattle. This aircraft, with the special markings of the brand Ronald Reagan used while at Rancho del Cielo, will make its arrival on the Reagan Library’s South Lawn September 23 at 10:30 a.m. before taking its place inside the exhibition as a striking example of the modern cowboy’s tools of the trade.  Guests are welcome to watch the landing at the Reagan Library at no charge (Museum admission rates only apply if guests also choose to visit the Reagan Museum and Air Force One Pavilion).

Cowboys: History & Hollywood opens to the public on October 18, 2025.
