A Virtual Conversation with Judge Douglas Ginsburg

Douglas Ginsburg is an American jurist and academic who serves as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.  He was appointed to that court in 1986 by President Ronald Reagan, and served as its chief judge from 2001 until 2008.   In A More or Less Perfect Union, Judge Ginsburg explores the document that governs those who govern us, delving into past, present and future struggles for liberty through the lens of the U.S. Constitution.

Voices of Our Republic is a companion piece to the PBS series, and features thoughts about the Constitution from personalities, dignitaries, and everyday heroes, who help answer the question of why the Constitution is so important and how it can be applied to political discourse today. Each person emphasizes a different part of the Constitution―from the Bill of Rights to the 19th Amendment and beyond―and why those particular passages are important.
