Overview

Please join us virtually on November 9, 2020 as we have a conversation with Judge Douglas Ginsburg.  The conversation will cover  brand-new book, Voices of Our Republic: Exploring the Constitution with Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Alan Dershowitz, Sandra Day O’Connor, Ron Chernow and Many More (Publish Date: January 28, 2020), as well as his PBS television series, A More or Less Perfect Union.  This event will be streamed on our YouTube channel (YouTube.com/ReaganFoundation), and pre-signed copies of the book can be purchased during the registration process. Douglas Ginsburg is an American jurist and academic who serves as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.  He was appointed to that court in 1986 by President Ronald Reagan, and served as its chief judge from 2001 until 2008.   In A More or Less Perfect Union, Judge Ginsburg explores the document that governs those who govern us, delving into past, present and future struggles for liberty through the lens of the U.S. Constitution.

Voices of Our Republic is a companion piece to the PBS series, and features thoughts about the Constitution from personalities, dignitaries, and everyday heroes, who help answer the question of why the Constitution is so important and how it can be applied to political discourse today. Each person emphasizes a different part of the Constitution―from the Bill of Rights to the 19th Amendment and beyond―and why those particular passages are important.
