Historical Simulation Storylines

Operation Urgent Fury (Grades 5-12)

It’s 1983 and democracy is about to face its biggest test since the Cuban missile crises. The island nation of Grenada become the new hot spot where the lives of American students hang in the balance. Players assume roles of President Reagan, cabinet members, military leaders and even the Press Corp, where they will make real-time decisions to bring our American students back safely while preserving stability in the region. The world is watching.

Operation KAL 007 (High School, University & Professionals)

The year is 1983. Korean Air Lines Flight 007 has been shot down by the Soviet Union after drifting into restricted airspace, killing all 269 passengers and crew aboard, including a U.S. Congressman. As outrage spreads across the globe, tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union threaten to spiral toward international crisis. Faced with incomplete information, mounting public pressure, and the risk of global escalation, participants must make real-time decisions that balance diplomacy, military readiness, and international stability.
