It was the first operational aircraft to be designed around stealth technology. The Reagan Library has an F-117 on permanent exhibition. This F-117 on display serves as a visible reminder of President Reagan’s commitment to the rebuilding of the U.S. military through his “Peace Through Strength” program. Our F-117 Nighthawk, Tail #803, nicknamed “Unexpected Guest”, flew more combat sorties (78) than all other F-117s combined. Measures approximately 5 1/2 inches long with a 3 1/2 inch wingspan.
