Even days after America dropped the atomic bombs—on Hiroshima on August 6 and Nagasaki on August 9-the pilots continued to fly. Though Japan had suffered unimaginable devastation, the emperor still refused to surrender. New York Times bestselling author Don Brown (Treason) sits down with Yellin, now ninetythree years old, to tell the incredible true story of the final combat mission of World War II. Nine days after Hiroshima, on the morning of August 15th, Yellin and his wingman 1st Lieutenant Phillip Schlamberg took off from Iwo Jima to bomb Tokyo. President Trump believes that we need to repeat history – in other words, “drain the swamp.”  In his new book, The Swamp, Eric Bolling presents an anger inducing, amusing, revealing, and outrageous history of American politics -- past and present, Republican and Democrat.  Bolling covers a litany extraordinarily appalling national political scandals, high crimes and misdemeanors, and even events that should have been simply a blip on the radar and mushroomed into a spiraling-out-of-control controversies. Bribery, blackmail, backroom dealings…they’ve always been a part of our political make up, but it seems it’s getting worse all the time. And those that get hurt most are the American people.  The Swamp is chock full of one doozy after another by our elected officials, and mirrors the way Washington national politics currently – and apparently always – has been played out. Can President Donald J Trump actually live up to his campaign promise of “draining the swamp?” Eric Bolling has become one of the most important “must listen to” voices and “must read” opinion-makers on today’s political narrative, regardless of where you reside on the political aisle. He is the author of the New York Times, Wall Street journal, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly bestseller Wake Up America. He is currently the host of the new hit Fox News Channel Show, “The Fox News Specialists,” and before that was one of the hosts of FNC’s “The Five.” He also is the host of the Fox Business Network show, “Cashin’ In.” Before coming to Fox, Bolling was a successful New York Mercantile Exchange trader for many years. https://www.reaganfoundation.org/programs-events/webcasts-and-podcasts/podcasts/a-reagan-forum/a-reagan-forum-eric-bolling/ itunes@reaganfoundation.org (Reagan Foundation) 40976 Fri, 19 Jul 2019 00:00:00 -0700 49:09 itunes@reaganfoundation.org (Reagan Foundation) no no A Reagan Forum "4th of July" Happy 4th of July!   The Fourth of July – also known as Independence Day or July 4th – has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941, but the tradition of Independence Day celebrations goes back to the 18th century and the American Revolution. On July 2nd, 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later delegates from the 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson. From 1776 to the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence, with festivities ranging from fireworks, parades and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues. https://www.reaganfoundation.org/programs-events/webcasts-and-podcasts/podcasts/a-reagan-forum/a-reagan-forum-4th-of-july/ itunes@reaganfoundation.org (Reagan Foundation) 40881 Thu, 11 Jul 2019 00:00:00 -0700 11:25 itunes@reaganfoundation.org (Reagan Foundation) no no A Reagan Forum "Brad Thor" In ancient texts, there are stories about men who struck from the shadows, seemingly beyond the reach of death itself. These men were considered part angel,  part demon. They were fearless; men of honor who have been known throughout history by different names: Spartan, Viking, Samurai. Today, men like these still strike from the shadows. They are highly prized intelligence agents, military operatives, and assassins. One man is all three. Two days ago, that man was crossed—badly. Now, far from home and surrounded by his enemy, Scot Harvath must battle his way out. With no support, no cavalry coming, and no one even aware of where he is, it will take everything he has ever learned to survive. But survival isn’t enough. Harvath wants revenge. Brad Thor’s internationally bestselling novels have been published in over 24 countries. Mr. Thor has served as a member of the Department of Homeland Security’s Analytic Red Cell Unit, and has lectured to law enforcement organizations on over-the-horizon/future threats. Mark’s show on WABC in New York City skyrocketed to Number 1 on the AM dial in his first 18 months on the air in the competitive 6:00 PM and hasn’t looked back since. Mark has been a frequent guest and substitute host on The Sean Hannity Show, and has also been an advisor to Limbaugh, who frequently refers to him on the air with the nickname "F. Lee Levin." He is perhaps more well-known for his nickname, "The Great One," coined by his friend Hannity. On Television, Mark heads “Life, Liberty & Levin” on The Fox News Channel, a show that goes beyond soundbites and clickbait with in depth analysis and interviews that effect todays issues that get only a minute or so on other outlets. Mark also hosts “LevinTV”, a nightly program available to subscribers on CRTV. Mark Levin is one of America’s preeminent conservative commentators and constitutional lawyers. He currently practices law in the private sector, heading up the prestigious Landmark Legal Foundation in Washington DC. From five-time #1 New York Times bestselling author Mark R. Levin comes a groundbreaking and enlightening book that shows how the great tradition of the American free press has degenerated into a standardless profession that has squandered the faith and trust of the American public, not through actions of government officials, but through its own abandonment of reportorial integrity and objective journalism.Unfreedom of the Press shows how those entrusted with news reporting today are destroying freedom of the press from within: “not government oppression or suppression,” he writes, but self-censorship, group-think, bias by omission, and passing off opinion, propaganda, pseudo-events, and outright lies as news.  https://www.reaganfoundation.org/programs-events/webcasts-and-podcasts/podcasts/a-reagan-forum/a-reagan-forum-mark-levin-1/ itunes@reaganfoundation.org (Reagan Foundation) 40697 Thu, 13 Jun 2019 00:00:00 -0700 1:04:14 itunes@reaganfoundation.org (Reagan Foundation) no no A Reagan Forum "Shannon Bream" Whether it’s her work today as a reporter and host for Fox News, her years in law school, or the time she spent competing in pageants like Miss America,  Shannon Bream has spent her entire adult life navigating high- pressure environments where perfection is expected and competition is the name of the game. But in this laugh- out-loud book of stories and inspiration, Shannon shares the moments away from the cameras and the halls of government, in which she learned that the values and faith of her blue-collar upbringing could keep her grounded in a world where everyone wants you to be something other than who you are. In Finding the Bright Side, Shannon continues a conversation about authenticity, humility, and trusting in God that she’s already begun with her followers on social media. She shares behind-the-scenes stories from Washington, D.C., revelations from her time reporting on the Supreme Court, and lessons learned from the most challenging moments of her life—from the time she was fired from her first job and told, “You’re the worst person I’ve ever seen on TV,” to the time she heard “There is no cure.” But through all of this, faith (and a little bit of stubbornness!) has helped Shannon to keep hope, find purpose in the pain, and find laughs along the way. Its hallowed grounds contain presidents, privates, and some of the most famous names in military and political history—Supreme Court justices, five-star generals, and Medal of Honor recipients—as well as liberated slaves, and, at the fabled Tomb of the Unknown, the bodies of soldiers known only to God. Sacred Duty, is not only an intimate and inspiring portrait of Arlington National Cemetery’s Old Guard (the official ceremonial unit of the U.S. Army and America’s oldest infantry unit, dating to 1784), but also a personal chronicle of Senator Cotton’s time as a platoon leader in the unit.   In writing and researching the book, Senator Cotton has spent the past year closely shadowing the unit’s soldiers, original reporting that forms the spine of the book. Tom Cotton is a United States  Senator  from  Arkansas. He served in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division and   in Afghanistan with a Provincial Reconstruction Team. Between combat tours, he served with the United States Army’s 3rd Infantry Regiment (“The Old Guard”) at Arlington National Cemetery. Collusion raises many of the most significant issues facing America in real life today. Is Russia our ally, or our enemy? Are American leftist activists susceptible to influence from aboard? How far will our enemies go to disrupt our politics and weaken the nation? Can we trust the media to differentiate between the good guys and the bad guys? Newt  Gingrich   and   Pete   Earley   have   entertained and educated readers with three previous novels of Washington scandal and foreign interference. From its explosive opening through several twists  and  turns  to its heart-stopping end, Collusion is their most timely and powerful novel yet. Kennedy’s inspiring challenge, and America’s race to the moon. Drawing on new primary source material and major interviews with many of the surviving figures who were key to America’s success, Brinkley brings this fascinating history to life as never before. American Moonshot is a portrait of the brilliant men and women who made this giant leap possible, the technology that enabled us to propel men beyond earth’s orbit to the moon and return them safely, and the geopolitical tensions that spurred Kennedy to commit himself fully to this audacious dream. A vivid and enthralling chronicle of one of the most thrilling, hopeful, and turbulent eras in the nation’s history, American Moonshot is an homage to scientific ingenuity, human curiosity, and the boundless American spirit.
