News of more Iranian attacks on ships in P. Gulf. So far none with U.S. escort. A call from Howard B.—Bud Brown now acting Sec. of Commerce in hospital for emergency surgery—the removal of a Kidney. Rules call for Agency Counsel to become Acting Sec. I’ve ordered that 3rd in line be appointed instead. He was highly thought of by Mac B.
A nice ride—a little cooler than yesterday. Then after lunch back to the tree pruning. Dr. Hutton is back from S.F. Dinner & early to bed.
