Schedule
9:00 a.m. Pacific / 12:00 p.m. Eastern
Please join us on March 16th at 12:00pm ET for a virtual panel featuring Wyoming State Superintendent Jillian Balow, 2020 Wyoming Teacher of the Year Dane Weaver, and Senior Director for State Policy and Advocacy at ICIVICS Shawn Healy. Panelists will discuss their on-going initiatives in civics education, as well as their aspirations and hopes for the future in a post-COVID world. Understanding the current state policy environment for civic learning and engagement is a key contribution to fulfilling the mission of education, strengthening our democratic republic, and supporting academic achievement and 21st Century workforce skills.
Wyoming will be the first of several states featured in the “State of Civics” series hosted by the Ronald Reagan Institute to highlight exemplar states and give an overview of current civic education initiatives in America.
