Please join the Reagan Institute for “National Defense Policy and Priorities: Views from Congress and the American People.” This virtual event will feature remarks from Representative Mike Rogers, Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, and a panel discussion with Admiral Gary Roughead, USN (Ret.), Co-Chair of the National Defense Strategy Commission, and Senator Jim Talent, Former U.S. Senator (R-MO) and Commissioner on the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.

Rep. Rogers will outline his priorities for the committee this Congress, particularly those related to the defense budget and the China threat. Following his keynote remarks, Rep. Rogers will participate in a moderated discussion with Reagan Institute Director Roger Zakheim. For the second half of the event, Sen. Talent and Adm. Roughead will participate in a panel discussion on the results of the recently released Reagan National Defense Survey, a public opinion poll that assesses Americans’ views on a wide array of defense, foreign policy, and national security matters. The panel will be moderated by Reagan Institute Policy Director Rachel Hoff.

Rep. Rogers currently serves as Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, where he plans to focus on properly funding our military, addressing threats from China, and training and equipping our service members and cyber personnel with cyber and artificial intelligence capabilities. This event will be streamed on our YouTube channel at YouTube.com/ReaganFoundation.
