Katie Nichols recently joined the Ronald Reagan Institute as an Education Policy Assistant. She supports the Director of Learning and Leadership and assists with education policy research, programming, and events. Prior to this role, she served as a Seasonal Staff Assistant at the Institute, providing logistical and administrative support for RISE 2018.
Before her work at the Ronald Reagan Institute, she interned on Capitol Hill for two members of Congress – Former Congressman Ed Royce and Senate Majority Whip John Thune. She graduated in May 2017 from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA with a B.A. in Political Science.
Katie is originally from Thousand Oaks, California, where she grew up regularly visiting the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University.
