James Mismash serves as the Policy Assistant for the Center for Peace Through Strength and the Center for Freedom & Democracy at the Ronald Reagan Institute (RRI). He manages a portfolio of defense strategy- and defense budget-focused initiatives and events at the Institute. He is the lead policy assistant for the Task Force on Manufacturing Competitiveness and National Security, policy content and logistics for the Reagan National Defense Forum, and the Institute's program on National Security Innovation Base.
James graduated from The University of Texas, earning a B.A. in Government and History with a focus on defense policy and World War II history. He was one of twelve Dean's Distinguished Graduates, and has previous public policy affiliations with the Governor of Texas, the Texas Legislature, and the American Enterprise Institute where he supported defense budget research.
