Ryan Haddad is the Associate Director for Scholarly Initiatives at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, where he is engaged in academic programming and promoting new research pertaining to the Reagan presidency. A business and international relations scholar by training, Dr. Haddad is currently writing a history of U.S. trade policy during the Cold War. He has a PhD in history from the University of Maryland, an MSc in international relations history from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA in political science from Providence College. 

Prior to the Reagan Institute, Dr. Haddad was an export control policy adviser to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Science and Technology Directorate and a policy aide specializing in European and Eurasian affairs at the U.S. Commerce Department's International Trade Administration.
