Bob serves as the Director of External Affairs for the Ronald Reagan Institute, the Washington DC office of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. His focus is to cultivate financial support for the Ronald Reagan Institute and assist with outreach efforts to government, business and the foundation community in Washington, DC and throughout the United States.
As co-founder of the Reagan National Defense Forum (RNDF), Bob serves as a member of the RNDF Executive Committee and was instrumental in organizing the annual inaugural event in November 2013. Additionally, Bob is a member of the Executive Committee for the Reagan Institute Summit on Education (RISE). An annual event, RISE brings together leaders from diverse sectors of society to empower influencers on and off Capitol Hill to take responsibility for the education of our citizenry.
Prior to his appointment at the Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, Bob spent over thirty years working in government and the private sector including Senior Partner at the McKeon Group, Chief Operating Officer for Porter Gordon Silver and served for 20-years as chief of staff to Chairman Buck McKeon.
Bob, a native Californian, was selected by the Chicago White Sox Organization for the 1975 Professional Baseball Draft, but he chose instead to accept a baseball scholarship to attend California State University at Los Angeles, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He is married to the former Kellie Ann Going, a former administrator in Fairfax County Public Schools, and together they have three grown children and nine grandchildren.
