Reagan Foundation Education is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of informed and engaged citizen leaders. Each year, we host a Youth Summit, coordinated by the Youth Council of Simi Valley, as a way for students to engage with their peers on issues they are passionate about. Youth Council representatives lead participatory workshops exploring issues that are facing teens, their community, and our nation.
Amelia Rose Earhart -
Ms. Earhart recreated and symbolically completed the 1937 global fight of her namesake, Amelia Mary Earhart. Her 28,000-mile flight around the world in a single-engine aircraft became a symbol of determination, courage, and empowerment for anyone who has ever decided to seek new horizons. Ms. Earhart is the president of the Fly With Amelia Foundation, a non-profit aviation charity providing flight training scholarships to young women.
