We invite K-12 teachers to a full day of sessions and lectures designed to commemorate the signing of the United States Constitution. Each year, schools dedicate time on or around September 17 to deepen an understanding of the Constitution as a kick-off to an entire year of civic learning that prepares students to be informed, engaged citizens. This event is co-sponsored by The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, Teach Democracy, Center for Civic Education, Los Angeles County Office of Education, Ventura County Office of Education, Simi Valley Unified School District, and Moorpark Unified School District.
The conference is complemented by a keynote addresses by Erwin Chemerinsky, Dean & Jesse H. Choper Distinguished Professor of Law at UC Berkeley School of Law and Michelle Ascencion, Clerk-Recorder & Registrar of Voters for Ventura County.
Registration ends on Friday, August 30.
