In their new book, Dick and Liz Cheney explain the unique and indispensable nature of American power, reveal the damage done by President Obama’s abandonment of this principle, and show how America can and must lead again. The Cheneys do what no one before them has done: chart a path forward to restoring American power and strength, explaining what must be done to reverse course, to fight and win the war on terror, to rebuild our military and reassure our allies that they can once again rely on American leadership. A critical, frank, and much-needed touchstone, Exceptional should stand as a guiding principle for the potential presidential candidates in 2016—and for policymakers today and beyond.

The lecture is sold out, sign up for the wait list.

Pre-purchase your books for the book signing.

CNN Reagan Library GOP Candidates Debate
Wednesday, September 16, 2015

September 16, 2015

The CNN Reagan Library Republican candidates’ debate will be divided into two parts featuring two groups of candidates. One group will feature the top 10 candidates and the other will include those who meet the minimum threshold of one percent. An average of all recognized polling released between July 16th and September 10th will determine the groups.  Both groups will be moderated by CNN anchor and chief Washington correspondent Jake Tapper.

“My husband was humbled and honored to be President of the United States.  I heard him say on more than one occasion that he was only given temporary custody of the presidency, but I know from very personal experience that it was the role of his lifetime,” said former first lady Nancy Reagan.  “Debates are a crucial part of the election process, and I’m thrilled that so many qualified candidates have the opportunity to be heard at the Reagan Presidential Library.”

The following candidates have qualified thus far and have received invitations from Mrs. Reagan (listed in alphabetical order): Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, John Kasich,  Lindsey Graham,  Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal,  George Pataki,  Rand Paul,  Rick Perry,  Marco Rubio,  Rick Santorum,  Donald Trump, and Scott Walker.

The debate will air live exclusively on CNN and CNNgo, CNN International and CNN Español from the Air Force One Pavilion at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.  In addition, Salem Communications will air the debate live through their broadcast radio stations nationwide.

Due to the limited size of the seating area, tickets are not available to the general public and cannot be purchased.  More information about the live broadcast on CNN will be coming out shortly.

To prepare for the debate, the Air Force One Pavilion will close at 3:45 p.m. on September 15, 2015 and the ENTIRE PROPERTY will be closed on September 16, 2015. Thank you for your understanding.

Lecture and Book Signing with David Gregory
Monday, September 21, 2015

Lecture: 6:00 p.m.
Book Signing: 7:00 p.m.

Please join us for a lecture and book signing with former NBC newsman and Meet the Press moderator David Gregory on his latest book, How’s Your Faith: An Unlikely Spiritual Journey (Release Date: September 15, 2015). This event is free to attend, however reservations are recommended and books must be purchased at the Reagan Library Museum Store to receive signature. To reserve seats and/or to purchase books, please click here or call 805-522-2977.

While David Gregory was covering the White House, he had the unusual experience of being asked by President George W. Bush “How’s your faith?” In this new book, Mr. Gregory probes various religious traditions to better understand his own faith and answer life’s most important questions: who do we want to be and what do we believe? David’s journey has taken him inside Christian mega-churches and into the heart of Orthodox Judaism. It has brought him back to his childhood, where belief in God might have helped him through his mother’s struggle with alcoholism, and through a difficult period of public scrutiny and his departure from NBC News, which saw his faith tested like never before.
