I served in Berlin, Germany as a military intelligence officer from December 1988-May 1992. When I first arrived, I was filled with excitement and anticipation. I was embarking on a new adventure and assignment, awed by the significance of the U.S. Forces Berlin military occupation mission dating back to 1945.
