KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Shelby Scarbrough

Shelby Scarbrough

We're delighted to announce that the opening keynote address is presented by internationally recognized speaker and writer Shelby Scarbrough. Scarbrough is a perfect fit for this year's theme of "Uniting the Divide:" she is a contributing author of The Power of Civility, a book that emphasizes that civility remains a worthy goal of society, and she has a chapter titled "Engaging in Civility" in the forthcoming business publication The Crisis of Engagement. The entrepreneur also has a lengthy list of public service projects, including serving as an appointee for the Reagan administration.

YOUNG PROFESSIONAL KEYNOTE

Cole Scanlon

Day 2 of the conference opens with a young professional keynote address by Cole Scanlon. The recent Harvard grad and current master's student at Oxford has already made quite the name for himself. He is the co-founder and co-director of Fair Opportunity Project, an edtech nonprofit organization that distributes free college application and financial aid information to 64,000 public high schools each year. In 2017, this work landed Scanlon a spot on the lauded Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Scanlon is one of our own; in 2014 he was a recipient of a prestigious GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship.
