$5,000 Scholarship Recipient
Courtney Brousseau pairs a perfect academic record with grassroots advocacy, leadership, and volunteerism. His skills extend from the newspaper editorial page to the courtroom and beyond. Dedicating countless hours to community service, words like “president,” “leader,” and “founder” fill Courtney’s resume. Most notably, he saw an injustice within the community and acted – inspiring peer support and using the media to convey a position. He also serves as chair of the Thousand Oaks Youth Commission. Courtney attended Newbury Park High School and plans to attend the University of California, Berkeley in the fall.
