$5,000 Scholarship Recipient
Nisha Srinivasa states that being an American is “about recognizing and seizing the opportunities with which you are faced.” This student is motivated and not afraid to take a risk. Like many of her peers recognized today, this recipient recognizes the sacrifices of her ancestors and their desires to pursue the American dream. She is a dancer and an award-winning volunteer. Nisha most notably shines in mock trial and debate, serving as captain for both groups. She attends La Reina High School and plans to study at University of California, Berkeley this fall.
