David’s school’s student council created a Database Administration Intern position just for him because they saw his potential, character, willingness to serve, and his skill set. He did not disappoint, eventually working his way up to President of the Student Council. Through David’s efforts, new equipment, such as computers, were purchased for the student council, allowing a more effective and streamlined approach to their work. David learned and used his new-found leadership and advocacy skills. These skills were further honed in his four year involvement in Mock Trial, where he demonstrated his critical thinking, public speaking, debate, and team leadership skills so well that he received the Rookie of the Year award. Continued efforts in this arena earned him a Most Valuable Participant award. David will graduate from Trinity Pacific Christian School and plans to attend Grove City College in the fall.
